Rythms of Nature

A joint project between myself and ceramic artist Jo Laurence where we explore the ongoing dialogue of 2 different artists exploring the same place through different mediums. Our practices meet at Fäboda’s coastline, where shifting light, natural rhythms, and distinctive rock formations inspire both of us.
Through my photography I aim to capture the fleeting moments of light, weather, and reflections, while Jo’s sculptures give lasting form to patterns shaped by waves and wind.
Together, our works reveal nature’s balance between permanence and change.
Fäboda is deeply woven into Jakobstad’s cultural identity, a place of calm, reflection, and connection to nature. This project builds on that shared attachment, inviting residents and visitors to experience a familiar landscape through new eyes and will result in a very unique exhibition in 2027.
